Today is going to be a fun filled day of running and weight training. My goals involve being able to lift very heavy weights, and run really long distances. I will start off with a 2.6 mile run to the gym. At the gym I will be doing back and biceps. There will be 1 high intensity exercise followed by 2-3 volume exercises. After weight training I will buy a recovery shake, and continue running for another 6.4 miles ending back at home. When I get home I’ll eat steak, oatmeal, berries, banana, and flax seeds, and let that digest for about an hour. Then I will continue running for another 10 miles to complete my 20 mile total for the day. During the run I will consume Sport Beans or homemade high protein bars (recipe and pics to come).
All of this running is leading up to The North Face Endurance Challenge 50 mile race in WA DC on June 5th.
